Uruha
One day, I found this flower at a flower shop. Uruha is a mountain hydrangea.
I wanted to name my child Uruha when I have a child someday. When I told my friend about it, she said, “Why don’t you name your midwifery clinic “Uruha”? Then I looked up its floriography and found it is love, family happiness, family ties and energetic woman, which perfectly fit my clinic.
In Hawaii, there is the famous ulu fruit or ulu tree, a symbol of prosperity and fertility. Its fruit and trunk are used for all kinds of purposes and enriches the lives of the Hawaiian people, so it is considered as a “tree of good fortune”.
“Uru” means to grow, to prosper, fecundity and belongings of the gods as such.
In Hawaiian, “ulu” means “to grow,” and there is a custom of giving quilts with ulu motifs as gifts to children to wish for their growth.
It is a traditional motif associated with fertility, celebration, prosperity, growth, and good fortune. We would like to warm up the “Uruha” place slowly.
